Automatic vertical form fill-and-seal packaging machines The Snack-Pack has proved extremely successful in the packaging of products such as potato crisps, extruded snacks, popcorns, pretzels and tortilla snacks. The machines are easy to use and require the minimum of maintenance.

The Snack-pack packaging machine
Features full touch screen programmable logic control (PLC) of all machine functions - bag speed, bag length, print registration, overprinter, product call, no product - no bag, vertical and horizontal seal tempertures and dwell times (dual heating systems available), average bags per minute, and filled bags counter. The PLC automatically monitors jaw obstructions, film breakage, print registration, overprinter tape run-out, packaging material run-out, and safety guard circuits. The packaging material reel and support frame move as one complete unit, preventing the waste of valuable packaging material. The horizontal and vertical seal systems run on hardened shafts and linear ball bushes for a long and trouble-free life. The machines are low-profile and so reduce gantry height to a minimum when linked to filling systems. They have a low product-drop from the top of the bag former to the horizontal jaws, making them ideal for high speed running and fragile products. The machines are available in single or twin versions to give maximum use of the production area and the output speeds of modern multi-head weighing systems. Packaging speeds of up to 100 packs per minute can be achieved, (single tube application) dependent on pack size, product to be packed, and packaging material.
